They got the third wheel on, and started the lug nuts, well the wheel wasn't flush on the brake drum so the guy grabs a mallet and starts beating the wheel on straight.yeah I flipped my lid and cussed him like a little school boy.Īt another tire shop, they did a burn out with my Tacoma while I was sitting to the side of the building while reading a book. They were changing my tires when I was 18 years old. Not only do they not have proper training, but they use the absolute cheapest oils and filters. You have to have the knowledge to check their work. Sharing this just to show that any shop can be at fault. After a clear explanation to what happened to the manager, they replaced my oil pan, plug, and did another refill. Yeah, Toyota technician stripped my tranny drain plug. Id have a shop check it out, other than Walmart. If the belts got oil on them they may have slipped and may break early. Get references, have a conversation or three, let them know your expectations, and tell them you'll return for all or certain stuff as long as they continue to meet them.īad part is if the oil was low enough long enough even if they added oil and cleaned it up, the motor may have unknown damage that may not be immediately apparent, but could significantly shorten motor life. If you have to get your stuff done because you don't know how, don't have tools or place, or cant, whatever, then find a reputable shop, form a relationship, and go there for stuff like that. He said another person didn't install brakes correctly and the people almost wrecked because of it. And he knew he did it, although it was an accident, basically, because he wasn't trained or supervised. He said one time he grounded out the battery on a diesel dodge and it shorted out the brain, and Walmart refused to admit guilt or replace it. He told me they had all kinds of problems. He said everyone there is basically untrained and has no verified experience or certifications, except for the shop lead. Knew a guy in college that worked at a Walmart service center. Guess where she still gets her oil changed at? Different Walmart, same kinds of morons. They tried to tell her it was due to whoever changed the oil the last time, so she got the last four receipts out of the glove box, and they said, "Naw we didn't do it." They said, ".Faulty drain plug, we aren't replacing it." Its called faulty moron that doesn't know standard from metric or decided pliers were a good idea. ![]() She went back to Walmart and told them and showed them the bill. They told her it was whoever tried to change the oils fault. ![]() It cost almost $50 plus the oil change and filter. So she took it to the dealer a few days later, they had it off in like five minutes, changed her oil, new plug (that they had to order). You'll have to take it to the dealer to get it off and buy a new drain plug." They called her back there and said, "ma'am your drain plug is stripped. They used the wrong sized wrench/socket/impact (whatever) and completely rounded the drain plug. About eight years ago she took her car there for an oil change.
